Malden Woman Charged After Parked-Car Claim Disputed by Damage Analysis

Complaints were issued against a Malden woman on charges of motor vehicle insurance fraud and attempt to commit a crime.  The Malden woman is alleged to have reported to Mapfre Insurance Company that on July 25, 2023, her 2014 Nissan Rogue was hit while parked causing damage to the front fender.  Police were never notified of the loss.  A damage analysis revealed that wooden debris was found in the passenger side door and front quarter area.  The damage was consistent with the vehicle striking a tree while in motion.
