Springfield Woman Faces Scrutiny Over Parked-Car Collision Report

The case against a Springfield woman was continued without a finding for three months on a charge of attempt to commit a crime.  The Springfield woman reported to Arbella Insurance Company that on August 26, 2022, her 2017 Acura RDX Technology was hit while parked causing damage to the passenger side bumper.  Imaging of the Event Data Recorder (EDR) showed that the Acura was in motion just before the collision.

The Springfield woman maintained that the Acura was parked in front of her residence with the passenger side facing the sidewalk.  She stated that she had no idea how the passenger side bumper could have sustained the damage, given the way she parked the vehicle.
